A thoughtful inheritance - family wisdom and corporate stability in inheritance distribution

On the evening of December 3, 2025, a statement from Xinquan Corporation calmly demonstrated to the outside world how this business family handles the inheritance of huge wealth. Behind this announcement is an asset arrangement that has been meticulously designed by law and deeply considered emotionally. The core of it is a remarkable decision made by Ms. Zhu Yuqin, the spouse of Tang Aoqi, to voluntarily give up her inheritance rights and donate all of her equity to her children without compensation.

According to the Civil Code, Tang Aoqi's 51% equity in Xinquan Investment is first recognized as joint property of the couple. This means that 50% (i.e. 25.5% equity of Xinquan Investment) already belongs to his spouse Zhu Yuqin, while the other 50% belongs to Tang Aoqi's estate. According to the statutory inheritance order, Zhu Yuqin, along with her children Tang Zhihua and Tang Meihua, are the first order heirs and should have jointly inherited the 25.5% equity.

However, Zhu Yuqin's choice was unexpected by some people, but it was reasonable - she voluntarily gave up her inheritance rights, allowing Tang Zhihua and Tang Meihua to inherit all of her father's estate equally, each receiving 12.75% equity in Xinquan Investment.

What is even more touching is that she further donated all of her 25.5% equity (approximately 2.218 billion yuan based on the market value on the announcement date) to her children free of charge, which was equally divided between the siblings.
